In order to execution of structural and ownership changes in agriculture, Polish Parliament passed the Law on the Management of Agricultural Real Estate of the State Treasury dated October 19, 1991. That Law resulted in establishment of Agricultural Property Agency of the State Treasury. According to later Law on Formation of Agricultural System dated April 11, 2003 the Agricultural Agency of the State Treasury has been transferred into Agricultural Property Agency (hereinafter called APA) with additional functions regarding the control of private land market and improvement of agricultural land structure
